EFI sells Vutek and Rastek wide-format inkjet at PrintEx11
EFI's PrintEx11 presentation comprised the highest number of its products ever seen at an Australian trade show, which coincided with the international launch of the "breakthrough" Vutek GS3250LX.

Distributor DES sold a Vutek GS3200 while fellow EFI reseller iMedia quickly sold the new Rastek H652.

Anthony Parnemann, EFI's regional manager for South East Asia, was pleased with the company's performance.

"Both DES and iMedia did a stellar job promoting our Rastek wide-format printers and Vutek grand-format digital inkjet printers," he said.

"Visitors had the choice of seeing two Rastek models and two Vutek printers in continuous operation."

EFI added that its Fiery servers appeared on a number of OEM stands, including the Ricoh booth, where a Pro C901 was producing 2,000 copies of the PrintEx Daily each day.

The company has also launched the Vutek GS3250LX UV-curing digital inkjet printer, which it claims is a "true breakthrough in high-speed, super-wide inkjet printing technology".

The GS3250LX, which will be available in Australia later this year, features a new "cool cure" technology, which allows for a much lower UV-curing temperature.

According to EFI, this opens up the range of substrates to materials such as polybanner stock and an increased number of cardboard and corrugated materials.

The 3.2m machine prints direct to substrate up to a resolution of 1,000dpi and features white ink printing capabilities. It can output at 111.4sqm an hour in eight-colour plus white
