Exhibitors report strong show sales

24 Sep 2010 |  Comment Now
Vendors at this week's Visual Impact Image Expo and Printworks 2010 have hailed the combined show as a success, with many shifting the machines on their stands.

Fujifilm Sericol used the show for the Australian launch of its Uvistar UV roll-to-roll wide-format device.

The vendor has already secured an order for the first Uvistar to come into the country, a 3.5m-wide version that was shipped directly to Fujifilm's stand at VIIE.

Marketing manager Matt Ritson told ProPrint that Fujifilm was "quite confident" it would take an order for the five-metre version, while the vendor had also taken orders for three Acuity devices.

Brad Creighton, sales manager at DGS Mimaki, said he had seen a lot of interest in its CJV30 and JV33 serries machines, as well as taking orders for the UFC 3042 tabletop UV LED device.

Several vendors also had 'sold' signs on products on their stands, including Agfa and CPI Graphics.

Agfa sold the Anapurna M2050 press on its stand to The Works Printing Group in Hobart, while CPI sold the HP Scitex LX800 on its stand to Melbourne-based Briner Total Signage Solutions.

Esko Artwork also sold Australia's first Kongsberg XP digital cutting table to Sydney-based Sol Design & Display.
