Anitech is providing some "long overdue recognition" to those in the Australian printing industry with a competition for legends of large-format.

The equipment and consumables supplier has set out to recognise leaders in the large-format graphic industry by launching the Anitech Industry Legend 2010 competition.

General manager Barry Grant (pictured) said: "Very often, these people go about their business totally without fanfare, but we believe that initiative, dedication, hard work and outstanding personal qualities are always worth celebrating.

"And we realised that, until now, there has been no formal way for the industry to recognise these outstanding contributors," he added.

The Anitech Industry Legend award will take into account the contribution of individuals to their businesses, the large format industry, the business community and wider society.

Three finalists will be flown to Sydney for the Visual Impact Image Expo at Darling Harbour in September.

An independent judging panel will select the winner, which will be announced at the show.

The nomination form is available here.
