XMPie's web-to-print and online marketing tools can be integrated with Apogee's Portal and Prepress modules, with jobs created in XMPie flowing into Apogee for processing and proofing.
Bart De Pelsmaeker, head of software at Agfa Graphics, said: "This solution provides the benefits our mutual customers are looking for."
Agfa also announced it had reached the milestone of 6,000 installations of the Apogee workflow system since its launch as one of the first PDF-based systems in the late 1990s.
Apogee Suite 6.0, which uses the latest Adobe PDF Print Engine 2.0, was released last year. Around 30% of customers have upgraded to 6.0 since.
