PMP has radically expanded its share of the New Zealand magazine distribution market, with subsidiary company Gordon and Gotch acquiring Independent Magazine Distributors (IMD).

The move puts PMP practically head-to-head with ACP-owned Netlink, which currently claims a 50 per cent share of the country's magazine distribution market.

Gordon and Gotch general manager Anthony Aitken says it will be business as usual for IMD's publishing customers as the operation moves to Gordon and Gotch.

PMP New Zealand general manager Peter Browne claimed the acquisition of IMD "continues PMP's investment in New Zealand and represents a logical extension of PMP's mission to be the leading supplier of marketing and printing services to publishers in New Zealand".
