Fuji Xerox Australia is calling for local entries for the 2009 Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging (PIXI) Awards.

Entries for the awards close at the end of this month, with entries being sought for the categories of Collateral, Books and Manuals, Direct Marketing, Trans/Promo and New Business Applications. Australian entrants will go up against printers from thirteen other nations in the APAC region.

"The awards are a great way for Fuji Xerox customers in Australia to promote their unique approach to digital print production at a regional level," said Brett Maishman, national commercial print business manager at Fuji Xerox Australia.

"Australian print providers have proved last year that they are up to the test, with three of our best scooping an award for exceptional printed projects. I encourage all of our customers in the digital print space to submit their applications this year as this is an invaluable opportunity to gain international recognition."

Last year, Sydney-based company The Digital Centre won first prize in the Books and Manuals category, with Griffin Digital and BlueStar GO also picking up awards. This year's Australian winners will be presented with their awards at the Fuji Xerox Innovate 09 conference, which is to be held on October 7 on the Gold Coast.
