The Graphic Arts Services Association of Australia (GASAA) and DataBasics have held free digital asset management and copyright information seminars this week in Sydney and Melbourne.

Wild weather kept most of those who registered away from Tuesday night's seminar at the Marriott Hotel in Sydney, with CAL copyright expert Zoe Rodriguez and Canto chief executive Ulrich Knocke delivering presentations.

Rodriguez looked at the principles of copyright and intellectual property in the digital age, which included outlining for the audience how to legally utilise third party works and proper attribution.

Knocke (pictured) used the occasion to discuss the release of Cumulus 8, the latest installment of Canto's file-tracking software, which will be available for purchase next month through DataBasics.
