Graph-Pak has assumed the full agency for sales, service and support for the DW Renzmann Group in Australia and New Zealand as of the New Year.

DW Renzmann Apparatebau, based in Monzingen, Germany, was founded in 1968 and is a manufacturer of washing machines and distillation units for the graphic arts and paint industries. Among Renzmann’s portfolio of products is a range of distillation units and washing machines for gravure cylinders, anilox rollers and miscellaneous parts.

“This is an exciting time for Graph-Pak”, said managing director Tom Ralph (pictured). “We have been granted another of the world’s leading manufacturers in solvent recovery and equipment washing. This complements our already blue chip portfolio and shows further growth for both parties in the regions of Australasia”.

“Renzmann has a very large installation base in press rooms that are operating gravure, offset and flexographic technology, as well as industries for paint and solvent. These installations are found in the largest and most prestigious printers both in Australia and New Zealand.”

“We are also lucky enough to have support from local industry engineering specialist Kevin Cox, which will offer instant piece of mind to current users.”

Graph-Pak has also sold a 20-station signature collator from Col-Tec (Solutions) Limited, a UK manufacturer of collating systems. This is the first machine of its kind to enter Australia.

The machine will be fitted to handle up to 350 x 350mm signatures of single sheets. It will operate deep pile feeders, have the capability to hand feed, has an automated stacker and comes with an in-line crash folder. The machine will be delivered to Australia in late April.

“This was a fantastic start for us in 2009,” said Ralph. “The order was placed within the first four hours of our office opening to the trade this year. I see this as a sign of confidence returning to the Australian market after last year’s last quarter where capital equipment sales slowed down by around 50 per cent due to the global downturn.”
