HP has unveiled its latest UV wide-format printer, the Scitex TJ8350, which offers up to a 50% increase in production speed over the previous TJ8300 model.

The new machine, which features an optional double-sided printing upgrade, is designed for wide-format indoor and outdoor applications, and is being targeted at printers aiming to grow the large-format area of their business.

The TJ8350 can print up to 480sqm an hour and, according to HP, offers up to a 35% lower cost per print compared to the previous TJ8300 configuration.

Santiago Morera, VP and general manager of HP's large-format printing business, said the new machine represented "the state-of-the-art in innovative large- to super wide-format inkjet technology and serves the diverse needs of the sign and display printing communities".
