Fujitsu Australia has officially opened its new Victorian headquarters in The Gauge, a new environmentally-sustainable development in Melbourne’s Docklands area.

Opened this week by Victorian premier John Brumby, The Gauge houses a series of features designed to reduce the carbon footprint of the site’s tenants, including gas-fired co-generation for producing electricity and a black-water recycling system.

“Concern for the environment is one of Fujitsu’s five core values, and to be located in a building that will establish the next milestone in sustainable design makes The Gauge the perfect solution for our Victorian head office”, said Fujitsu Australia’s CEO Rod Vawdrey.

Fujitsu says the move makes it the first ICT company in Victoria to inhabit a 6 Star Green Star- Office Design Certified building.
