CGS Publishing Technologies International, known for colour management solutions, digital proofing systems and specially-formulated media, has announced that ORIS Color Tuner has received GRACoL and SWOP certification on Epson Stylus Pro 4880, Stylus Pro 7880, Stylus Pro 9880 and Stylus Pro 11880 printers.

Certification has been granted for Grade # 1 GRACoL on ORIS PearlProof Super, Grade # 3 SWOP on ORIS PearlProof Commercial and Grade # 5 SWOP on ORIS PearlProof Publication on all printers in the series.

Specifications for Web Offset Printing (SWOP) was initiated in 1975 as a response to the printing industry’s need for uniform specifications and tolerances to ensure consistency and quality of material in publications.

In 2005, SWOP merged with IDEAlliance in order to support print media through the coordinated development of standardized specifications and guidelines, certification programs, software tools, educational seminars and peer support networks. SWOP, Inc. now operates as a program with IDEAlliance. SWOP is a registered trademark of IDEAlliance.
